In the cosmic flow nothing is ever-lasting and there is a constant change happening all the time. There is movement in stillness and sound in silence. Nature has a rhythm and order and we are just small part in this vast Universe. Dancing here is flowing in that rhythm of the Universe.
Body becomes an instrument in the dance and moves slowly and naturally, going deeper and deeper within the self – dissolving all ego and consciousness and moving as if to understand the deeper truths- truths that have always been mysteries to the human mind. It is partially the state of surrender where the dancer surrenders the conscious self and moves in the natural flow.
However, advanced science and technology may have become nature is all supreme. Scientists are still looking at nature, learning from it and making inventions. In the fast pace of today, when the natural flow is being disrupted, the dance-form here feel more closeness to the primitive people, who worshipped nature and were more connected to the elements. They worshipped earth as mother, trees were held sacred and water precious as it is the source of life. In the flow of water is the flow of all life.
In “water- piece” it is the flow of water - it gives life to stone-like woman who resists, but at last surrenders and in water she is renewed with life. Even the stone that is being constantly washed in water becomes soft, smooth and shiny and is no more hard, rough and dull. On this planet water is the life source- quenching thirst of all – it the flow passing through all and somewhere connecting one with all.
Feeling the skin, touching the roots, smelling the air, moving from shadow to light, to the morning sun the dance movements are like travelling between time and space, questioning the origin and source of our being, our present state, and our future where are we heading towards… Here we see the body depicting happiness and ecstasy and also pain and sorrow, suffered and shattered, leaving behind so many memories, histories and praying for eternal peace.
Embracing all and flowing in the universal rhythm…
